The Celebrating Culture Series showcases live performances by talented local artists from diverse genres and cultural backgrounds. Enjoy an enriching and entertaining experience with family and friends—free of charge!

Experience the enchanting sounds of the kora, a 21-stringed West African harp, at this free performance with Sean Gaskell. Traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots, the kora's music preserves an 800-year legacy. Gaskell, who studied with master musicians in Gambia and Senegal, has shared this unique instrument in over 400 libraries and venues across North America. Join us at the library to celebrate this rich cultural tradition!
