Learn the basics of using our scroll saw and drill press in this free introductory class.
Scroll saws are an excellent woodworking tool that can easily handle even intricate curves. Our instructor will show you everything you need to know to get started!

In this class, you’ll learn:

• Tools available in The Maker Space
• Safety and best practices for the scroll saw, drill press, and other hand tools
• How to load material on the scroll saw and drill press
• How to change the scroll saw blade and adjust the tension
• Troubleshooting tips for common issues

For ages 17+.

Learn the basics of using our Janome DC 2014 Sewing Machines. This class is required for anyone who wishes to use the sewing machines in The Maker Spot.

In this class, you will learn:

• Parts of the sewing machine
• How to thread the sewing machine
• How to wind and load the bobbin
• Different types of stitches
• Types of fabric to use

For ages 9+

Enjoy hands-on STEM activities at this monthly program for homeschool families. Although everyone is welcome, children ages 7 to 13 will enjoy this program the most.

Looking for a fun and relaxing way to get creative? Our Pinterest Party crafting events are a great opportunity for adults to socialize while enjoying a simple, fun craft together. No supplies or experience are needed—just come ready to chat and create! No registration required; available while supplies last.
